Birminghamusic.com is a brand new platform to promote the music scene in Birmingham.
The aim of the site is to be your first port of call when it comes to anything related to the Birmingham music scene. Be it anything - from “Who is playing at the Flapper tonight?” or “Are there any violin teachers in the area?” to “Is there anyone playing Jazz on Tuesday?” or “Where can I find more info on that fantastic band who played The Drum last night?” – whatever your request, hopefully you can get those questions answered here.
Also there is a massive online database of resources for musicians, including:

ARTISTE AREAS
There are artist areas that are maintained by the artists themselves, where you can read the latest info about a band, download their music and leave comments on their guestbook. So if you see a band you like you can find out a lot more about them here.
RADIO STREAMS
There are six radio streams dedicated to playing Birmingham music. These streams are playing 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and as well as a main stream there are individual streams for Rock, Jazz/Folk, Urban and Classical, as well as a Heritage stream that pays homage to all the great musicians associated with Birmingham.
CHARTS
There are Radio charts maintained by the amount of requests for airplay certain tracks get, as well as download charts which are based on the number of times a band's song is downloaded from their mini-site.
GENRE SPECIFIC SITE CUSTOMISATION
Do you hate Classical music? Can't stand Jazz? Or do you think rock music is just a noise? Never fear because you can tailor this site to only deliver news and music specific to your taste. By registering in the top left hand box, you can customise the site to only show (for example) rock music related news, charts, gigs, artists and forum topics everytime you visit. If you wish to change your selection to cover all genre's then just change it from the pull down list.
GIG GUIDE
A comprehensive list to all local gigs be they at Symphony Hall or in the back room of the local pub. If you are playing in Birmingham and would like to be listed on here just email listings@birminghamusic.com with when you are playing and where and we shall include them.
